Zero-Tracking Guarantee: Smart Clipboard Manager operates on a 100% offline-first architecture. We do not collect, transmit, store on remote servers, or sell any clipboard snippets or personal user data.

1. Information Handled by the Extension

Snippets and user preferences are handled entirely client-side:

• Clipboard History: User-initiated copied snippets (code, URLs, text) are saved exclusively to local storage via chrome.storage.local.
• Sensitive Data Filter: Client-side filters automatically disregard password fields and sensitive credential strings.
• Preferences: User theme, clip limits, and audio preferences stay strictly local.

2. Data Storage & Security

• 100% Local Storage: Snippets remain purely inside Chrome's secure local sandbox.
• No Remote Servers: No data leaves your machine unless you explicitly export a JSON or CSV backup.
• Zero Third-Party Trackers: Contains no third-party marketing beacons or analytics scripts.

3. Permissions Requested & Purpose

• storage: Persists your snippets, categories, and settings locally.
• contextMenus: Allows right-clicking selected text to save it to clipboard history.
• clipboardWrite: Copies snippets back into your system clipboard upon clicking.
• notifications: Displays non-intrusive operational confirmations (e.g., backup exported).
• <all_urls>: Listens for user copy actions across web pages to add snippets to history.
